But beneath their prickly exterior lies a fascinating world of adaptations and survival strategies that I find endlessly intriguing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding Cylindropuntia<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Chollas are native to North America, primarily found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. They thrive in arid and semi-arid environments, their cylindrical stems and dense spines perfectly adapted to conserve water and deter herbivores.
